The Game

This game is a puzzle-deck focused gameplay from my previous game Kardinal.

A unique puzzle game that combines classic chess movements with strategic Patch (power-up) collection and planning.

Navigate chess pieces through increasing challenges, collect patches to modify your pieces, and reach goals while scoring high.

Planning Is Key!

• Game was split into two phase, planning and scoring.
• Game start whenever knight chess piece was put on the board.
• During planning, chart your path and modify the board through the power or patches.
• During scoring, unlock the goal through required level score, then finish the level by visiting the goal tile.

Gameplay

• Move chess pieces across the boards, and collect scores from the tiles you land on.
• Unlock the goal-tile by achieving the level score.
• Complete the level by reaching the goal-tile under limited moves.

Patch Powerups

Transform your gameplay with collectable patches:

• Queen Patch - Transforms your piece into a queen
• Rook Patch - Transforms your piece into a rook
• Bishop Patch - Transforms your piece into a bishop
• x2 Patch - Doubles the score value on the tile
• x3 Patch - Triples the score value on the tile
• 1Up Patch - Move one tile upward upon landing, and score from both tiles
• 1Down Patch - Move one tile downward upon landing, and score from both tiles
• 1Left - Move one tile left upon landing, and score from both tiles
• 1Right - Move one tile right upon landing, and score from both tiles

Patches can be chained together for powerful combinations! Plan your moves carefully to maximize your score.

Score Bonus

Score points by landing on numbered tiles, and multiply your rewards with these special combinations:

Basic Scoring

• Land on numbered tiles to collect their value
• Chain moves together to build up bigger scores

Special Combinations

• SUIT - Collect scores from tiles with the same suit (♠, ♥, ♦, ♣) consecutively. +1 point.
• STEP UP - Collect scores from tiles  with consecutive values. +2 points.
• STRAIGHT - Collect scores with same suit and consecutive values. +5 points.
